Essential Oils for Baths

Essential oils can be used to help calm the body down and reduce anxiety when one becomes overwhelmed. The oils can make you feel better and stress-free. Essential oils for baths can be used alongside other medicines to make you relax.

The trouble is that few of us know how to use essential oils in baths. This post looks at how to use the oils in the bath to guarantee the best results.

The Best Way to Use Essential Oils for Baths

Using essential oils for baths is one of the ways that guarantee you the most from the oils. It is one of the methods that allows you to inhale the substance as you enjoy your bath.  The warm water allows the oil to evaporate, giving it a chance to come into contact with your skin and help your body to relax.

Notice that the oils don’t mix with water, so dropping them directly into the bath is not the best way because the oils will not disperse well. Also, the oils will not remain in the middle of your tab but will instead be drawn to your skin. If they are undiluted, they will touch your skin and can harm you. So the safest way to use them is to mix them with fatty substances that include castile soap and carrier oils. The soap will help to protect the skin and at the same time make the oils disperse throughout the bath water.

How Can You Put Essential Oils In A Bath?

This is the easiest thing to do. Start by adding a bath drop of the oil to some carrier oils before you add the mixture to the bath of water. You may also choose to add 5 drops of the oil to the shower gel. Essential oils for baths bonds well with the gel and allow it to disperse through the water. When you get into the bath, the gel will come in contact with the skin and at the same time prevent the essential oils from irritating your skin.  Most users prefer using the gel because it is easier to clean compared to using a carrier oil.

You may also choose to use bath salt and jojoba. In this case, all you have to do is to drop 4-5 drops of the oil in 40g of bath salt and add 2 teaspoons full of jojoba. You may opt to use some salt to Jojoba and steer it. You will then be required to stir it well before adding the mineral-rich content into your bath.
