the beauty recipes of Cleopatra

I am happy to share with you the beauty recipes of Cleopatra.

Cleopatra became a legend during her lifetime. In her history she was described as a woman of incredible beauty and charm. Because of the tragic suicide of the Queen, interest in her personality was fuelled by the public; everyone wanted to know of her secretive and often romantic life…
Cleopatra did not want to grow old and did everything to keep her youth as long as possible. In ancient Egypt, very few lived beyond the age of 38 years, but Cleopatra managed to preserve her health, and youthful appearance, and beauty. She was helped by her own health rejuvenating inventions.

The Milk Bath
Because of the harsh conditions of a very hot climate, the skin of the Egyptians was very dry. But Cleopatra found a solution through her special milk baths. To replicate the recipe of the Queen, you will need one cup of honey per liter of hot milk. 15 minutes in such a bath will make the skin softer and give it elasticity. The milk temperature should be strictly 98º–99º Fahrenheit.

The Scrub
Already in the year 30 BC, Cleopatra was known for such a seemingly modern means of body care! The queen made her special skin scrub by mixing sea salt with thick cream, which was then applied to her skin and rubbed in.

Her Shampoo
Shampoo did not exist in ancient times, so Cleopatra created her own using egg yolks to give hair shine and strength. The yolks were beaten with the addition of almond oil and honey and rubbed into the roots of the hair, and then washed. To restore damaged hair, the queen used a mixture of 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of castor oil.

Her Scented Perfume
Of course, the perfumes as they exist now, did not exist during the time of ancient Egypt. Cleopatra used Incense and Natural Oils of Rose, Frankincense, Cypress and Neroli. The Queen was well aware of the influence of odors on the moods of men and skillfully used it. Perhaps, it was because of this secret of Cleopatra, that not a single man could resist her beauty and charm.
