Essential oils for diabetes only come as compliments. Not a single country or a group of people in the world is exempted from cases of this ailment. Hence, one cannot expect to be relieved from this ailment just by using essential oils alone. Nonetheless, it is still wise to know the types of oil that are good or bad for the health.

While there may already be innumerable advances in its research, scientists have not yet found its exact cure. So, maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle should still be at the top of one’s list if he/she has this kind of lifestyle ailment.

  3. Walnut Oil. This one is notable for increasing a diabetic’s insulin sensitivity. It is rich in the heart-friendly omega-3 fatty acid called triglycerides. It also has a high level of PUFAs (polyunsaturated fatty acids).
  4. Black Pepper Oil. Diabetes often manifests itself through high blood pressure and other issues in the circulatory system. Researchers done on black pepper oil proved that its high level of antioxidants helps block enzymes that result to high blood pressure.
  5. Canola Oil. Canola oil comes from the rapeseed plant and works well for people with type 2 diabetes. Its omega 3 and monosaturated fatty acids help in lowering bad cholesterol and blood sugar levels
  6. Cinnamon Oil. Regular use of cinnamon essential oil have been found to mitigate diabetes in some people. Cinnamon is a naturally sweet, and is a spice used to improve sweetness without requiring the addition of sugar. This has been found to be great with diabetics. Research suggests that the oil coming from the world’s most-favored spice actually boosts the body’s sensitivity to insulin.

Essential oils should only come as compliment. As was said in the beginning of this article, no cure is yet available in the market for curing diabetes.

When used in the right amounts and in the right ways, essential oils are useful in fighting diabetes, its signs and symptoms, and its effects. It will always be best to contemplate on the best oil to use (depending on your need) or to consult your doctor about it.
