Also known as Flower Of Flowers, Ylang Ylang is a tall tropical tree about 60 feet high with large fragrant, pink, mauve or yellow flowers; yellow heads are viewed as being the best in terms of quality. Ylang Ylang is best suited for use in the perfumery and skincare industries. It was a popular ingredient of hair preparations in Europe and was known as Macassar Oil.
Exotic Ylang Ylang elicits feelings of deep, languid calm, and is thought to heighten the senses. The striking yellow flowers of the Ylang Ylang tree yield an excellent quality oil. Use Ylang Ylang’s moisturizing properties as part of your skin care regiment by adding to your favorite Carrier Oil and apply directly to your skin
Aromatic Diffusion: Add two to four drops to your favorite diffuser.
Topical Application: Dilution not required. Apply two to four drops directly to skin and gently massage in. Add five to ten drops to your bath water for a comforting, and calming effect; relax and unwind as your skin takes in it smooth moisturizing properties.
Dilute before use for those with extra sensitive skin; a skin test is recommended prior to use. It can also cause sensitivity on some people; excessive use of it may lead to headaches and nausea.
